MEDIA RELEASE: Paducah, KY (07/28/2017) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College is offering a four-week Chair Yoga class beginning August 3.

The classes will be held four Thursday mornings August 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 8 - 8:45 a.m. in the Emerging Technology Center, Room 109. The cost for the four sessions is $39. Participants need to bring a yoga mat (if do not have one, one can be provided), water, a hand towel and comfortable fitted clothing.

Chair Yoga integrates the yoga postures (known as asanas) with mindful breathing techniques to bring awareness and balance to the mind, body, and breath.

"This class can provide great health benefits such as pain relief, improvement in mobility, balance and sleep and a decrease in stress," said Kevin O'Neill, WKCTC interim vice president of regional workforce and economic development. "This is a fun class that is perfect for all ages."
