Paducah, KY (01/15/2025) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) will host the Heartland Psychology Teaching Conference, a one-day event for psychology educators, on March 7, 2025. This conference is designed to inspire and equip educators with the latest insights, effective teaching strategies, and professional connections, all aimed at enhancing classroom instruction.
The Heartland Psychology Teaching Conference will offer:

"The goal of the Heartland Psychology Teaching Conference is to offer a high-quality conference experience for psychology teachers in our region from all levels of education, high school, 2-year, and 4-year institutions," said Beverly Barrett, professor of psychology at WKCTC. "This will be an opportunity to network and stay at the forefront of psychology education."
Dr. Kenneth Carter, a clinical psychologist, author, and speaker, will lead General Session 1: Psychology's Living Tapestry. Dr. Carter is the Charles Howard Candler Professor of Psychology at Oxford College of Emory University and founding director of the Emory University Center for Public Scholarship.
Dr. Laura Freberg, a Professor of Psychology at California Polytechnic State University, will present General Session 2: Navigating AI in the Psychology Classroom. Dr. Freberg specializes in behavioral neuroscience and introductory psychology, and will discuss how artificial intelligence can be integrated into psychology teaching.
