Paducah School of Art & Design Announces "Tim Jaeger: 10" and Master Artists Workshop "Color and Expression: Paint What You Love"

Paducah, KY (05/05/2017) — Paducah School of Art and Design (PSAD) is pleased to present Tim Jaeger: 10, a mid-career mini retrospective of the Paducah raised artist, as well as Color and Expression: Paint What You Love, a painting workshop during this Summer Master Artists Workshops program. The exhibition will feature an expansive range of ideas within bodies of work created over the last decade. Included is his recent series that visually interprets the nostalgia, memory and visceral appeal of "Old Paducah" -- that defines our history and community and continues to live on in our minds.

Tim Jaeger: 10 will open with a reception event from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., on June 9, 2017, and run through July 21 in the Bill Ford Gallery, located within PSAD's 2D and Graphic Design Building in the Lower Town Arts District. Jaeger's painting workshop will run from June 12-15, 2017. Tuition is $290.

Tim Jaeger was raised in Paducah, Kentucky, and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Since graduating in 2002, Jaeger has continued to maintain his Sarasota studio while engaging the community in numerous projects and fostering new artistic partnerships through his role as Campus and Community Engagement Manager at Ringling College of Art and Design. Jaeger's paintings can be found in numerous public and private collections both in the United States and abroad.

"I'm humbled by the opportunity to exhibit at PSAD-it is a testimony to the conviction of Paducah's artists to this location as well as the support of our community that keeps them here." said Jaeger. "I'm also pleased to be launching PSAD's 2017 Summer workshop program with a three-day workshop, providing the tools and techniques for students to realize their own individual creative process."

The Bill Ford Gallery is located in PSAD's 2D and Graphic Design Building at 905 Harrison Street in Lower Town, Paducah, KY. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
