Paducah, KY (03/05/2024) — Registration for summer and fall classes is now open at West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC), offering both online and in-person courses.
For summer, WKCTC offers class options between mid-May and early August, providing an excellent opportunity for students to get ahead in their education or complete remaining classes for a credential.
Dean of Students, Chase Durrance, emphasized that students attending a four-year university can also take advantage of summer classes at WKCTC to earn additional credits. Durrance noted, "If you're home from college for the summer, taking a class at WKCTC is a great way to save some money and earn some credits to toward your degree."
For those looking ahead to fall, classes begin on August 19. "Whether you know a lot about college or if this is all new for you, we're here to help every step of the way," said Durrance.
Financial aid is available for qualifying students for both summer and fall classes. The first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov The financial aid priority deadline is April 15 for summer classes and July 15 for fall classes at WKCTC. With over 200 different credentials - including degrees, diplomas, and certificates - in various career and academic programs, WKCTC offers pathways for students to enter the workforce directly or transfer to a four-year university.
