WKCTC offering next CPR, AED and first aid training March 25

Paducah, KY (03/20/2019) — Learning the techniques for CPR, first aid and automatic electronic defibrillator (AED) training can help save someone's life. West Kentucky Community and Technical College is offering its next CPR, AED, and first aid course March 25 beginning at 8 a.m.

The course will be held at Marine Way Training Center at 631 Marine Way in Paducah. The cost of the training is $85 per person.

The course is designed specifically for persons who do not work in the health care field but are occupationally required to, and desire to, have CPR and first aid knowledge and skills, such as emergency river industry, emergency response teams or industrial trades.

WKCTC's American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) program provides individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic adult, youth, infant CPR life support in an emergency situation. Training also includes AED component, obstructed airway, and emergency response procedures. Students will be issued an ASHI CPR card.
