WKCTC Provides Continuing Education for Waste water Treatment Operators

Seats Still Available for the March 19 and 20 CEU Course

Paducah, KY (03/12/2019) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College is offering a course that is designed to provide Waste water treatment operators continuing education for renewal of their certification March 19 and 20. Seats are still available for the course.

The two day,12-hour course will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day in the Emerging Technology Center, room 140. The cost of the course is $140 per participant. Lunch is included each day. Gary Russ will be the course instructor.

The objective of this course is to provide the operators with new information to assist them in the operation of the waste water treatment plant and collection system or serve as a refresher to aid them. Topics include: Package Plant O & M, Sample Collection and Preservation, Process Control, Collection System O & M, Operator Ethics, and more.

Upon completion of the training, participants will feel comfortable with their review of waste water treatment plant distribution, maintenance, wastewater treatment math, sample collection and preservation, COMOM, SORP, and SOS.
