WKCTC Teddy Bear Clinic to Teach First-Aid Safety Tips to Kids

Clinic open to community

Paducah, KY (04/14/2019) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College is hosting its annual Teddy Bear Clinic April 27 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Emerging Technology Center.

The clinic is a fun, educational way to educate children about important first-aid safety tips using their favorite stuffed animals. The clinic is sponsored by WKCTC's chapter of the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students (KANS).

"We invite parents to bring their kids to provide our students the opportunity to interact with them with what they have learned in class in a such a sweet way," said Angela Fiser, WKCTC nursing instructor and KANS advisor. "From bumps and bruises to burns and breaks, the clinic will also give the children the opportunity to 'fix' their stuffed animal or doll."
