Dallas McKinney of Mayfield is one of 85 WKCTC Students Recognized at 2017 Honors Ceremony

Dallas McKinney of Mayfield is one of 85 West Kentucky Community and Technical College students recognized at the 2017 Honors Ceremony that was held in the college's Clemens Fine Arts Center May 4.

McKinney was also selected to the 2017 KCTCS All-Academic Team and was also recognized as a member of the college's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

The KCTCS All-Academic Team is sponsored by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System to recognize outstanding students of community and technical colleges. Selected students successfully represent high achievement in the areas of scholarship, service, and leadership. As a KCTCS All-Academic Team member, McKinney was selected to be the student speaker at the college's May Commencement

"I feel greatly honored for the opportunity to represent and give back to WKCTC by being nominated to the KCTCS All-Academic Team and to be speaking at commencement," said McKinney. Coming to this college has propelled my education and personal growth....and I hope with my words and actions, I can convey what a great college we have and encourage others to support our mission of helping students succeed."

Honor recipients enjoyed time with their family and friends during a reception in the college's Student Center following the ceremony.
