Jacob Hugenroth of Benton Graduates from WKCTC

Jacob Hugenroth of Benton, KY was one of more than 780 candidates for graduation who recently completed their classwork with an associate degree, diploma or certificate from West Kentucky Community and Technical College. More than 200 students participated in WKCTC's 2016 Spring Commencement Ceremonies at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center May 7, 2016.

Hugenroth was one of several students to receive an Associate in Applied Science degree in Computer and Information Technologywith high distinction.

Glenn David Denton, a partner with Denton Law Firm, PLLC in Paducah, was the keynote speaker for the commencement ceremonies. Denton practices law throughout western Kentucky and southern Illinois. He is the chair of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, the coordinating board for Kentucky's postsecondary education system. He will serve as Council chair through January 2017.

WKCTC students Corey Nance of Paducah and Jake Hugenroth of Mayfield were the student speakers. They were both named to the 2016 KCTCS All-Academic Team, which recognizes outstanding students of community and technical colleges.
