Kayla Wood of Paducah Named a Candidate for Graduation at WKCTC

Kayla Wood of Paducah, KY was one of more than 950 candidates for graduation honored during West Kentucky Community and Technical College's commencement ceremonies held at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center Saturday, May 10.

Wood was one of several students to receive their A+ certificate .

In addition to the candidates for graduation, 81 students received nursing pins during a ceremony prior to commencement.

WKCTC students Carol Hoffmann and Whitney Aspery, members of the 2014 KCTCS All-Academic Team, were the student speakers at the two commencement ceremonies held on May 10 and Dr. Anton Reese, executive director of the Student Success Center at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, was the keynote speaker.

Dr. Reece previously served as the dean of student affairs at Paducah Community College, one of the founding institutions of WKCTC.
