Michael Copeland Joins WKCTC-PSAD Art and Design Club

Michael Copeland of Bardwell is one of 15 new members of an art club at West Kentucky Community and Technical College.

Michael is a member of the WKCTC-Paducah School of Art and Design (PSAD) Art and Design Club and is a Multimedia-Digital Design Track major.

The WKCTC-PSAD Art and Design Club is one of more than 20 clubs and organizations in which WKCTC students can participate. The Art and Design Club is open to all WKCTC staff, faculty, and students. We have monthly member meetings and we also meet each Friday for different activities, such as group art projects, potlucks, and guest speakers. We also go on field trips, attend National Portfolio Day, and have a role in Paducah School of Art and Design's Annual Holiday Art Sale.

The 2014-2015 officers of the WKCTC-PSAD Art and Design Club are Michael Copeland of Bardwell, president; and James Ouderkirk, vice president and Carrie Jones, secretary, both of Paducah.

Members of the PSAD Art and Design Club joined faculty, staff and the community at an open house and celebration of the Paducah School of Art and Design September 30. The event will highlight the completion of the first two phases of PSAD's Lowertown campus with the 7,000-square-foot sculpture building and the adjacent 6,700-square-foot ceramics and small metals building.
