2017 WKCTC Scholarship Auction Will Have a New Twist

Auction Set for September 21, Julian Carroll Convention Center

MEDIA RELEASE: Paducah, KY (08/28/2017) — Each September, Paducah Junior College (PJC), the foundation supporting West Kentucky Community and Technical College, hosts a scholarship auction with a dinner featuring a live and silent auction that raises money to help deserving students pursue a college education.

This year's event, set for Thursday, September 21 at the Julian Carroll Convention Center, will have a new twist.

"This year we are celebrating the best of West Kentucky with a more casual theme with WKCTC's West is Best Barbecue and Auction," said Lee Emmons, WKCTC vice president of institutional advancement and PJC executive director. "We want to showcase our region and all that makes it the wonderful place it is."

West is Best Barbecue and Auction will highlight each of the counties in WKCTC's 10-county service region and southern Illinois during the barbecue dinner, a silent auction, and tableside magic by Todd Duff of Innovations Branding House.

Guests may purchase event tickets in advance by calling Jennifer Frazier at (270) 534-3229 or online at westkentucky.kctcs.edu/giving/scholarshipauction. Individual tickets are $50 and tables of 8 are available for $400. Supporting Sponsorships are still available for $750.

The dinner and silent auction begin at 6 p.m. followed by the live auction at 7 p.m.
