Paducah, KY (04/30/2025) — Summer is a great time to take classes at West Kentucky Community and Technical College! WKCTC offers four summer sessions with both online and in-person classes in six-and-eight-week options for current, new or visiting students!
Session one: (six-week classes) begins May 15
Session two: (six-week courses) begins June 9
Session three: (eight-week courses) begins June 9
Session four: (six-week courses) begins June 23
"Summer classes can be a smart move - whether you're just starting your college journey, picking up extra credits, or working toward finishing your degree faster," said Tammy Maines, Dean of Enrollment Management.
The college offers more than 200 different credentials - a degree, a diploma, or a certificate - in a variety of career and academic programs that can help students enter directly into the workforce or transfer to a four-year university.
"Summer courses at WKCTC offer flexibility and focus. You can complete classes in a shorter time frame, often with smaller class sizes and more personal attention from instructors. Plus, summer is a great time to catch up, get ahead, or explore a new subject without the hustle of a full semester," said Maines.
Financial aid is available for summer classes and fall classes for qualifying students. The first step is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov. The Financial aid priority deadline is July 15 for fall classes. Fall classes begin August 18. Contact 270-534-3467 or email WK-FinancialAid@kctcs.edu with any questions.
Currently enrolled students should make an appointment with their assigned academic advisor. New students should contact the Admissions Office at (270) 534-3435 or wkctcenrollment@kctcs.edu.
