WKCTC first home basketball game supports breast cancer awareness October 23
Tailgate party and fun halftime shooting contest part of evening
Paducah, KY (10/16/2019) — The West Kentucky Stars basketball club at West Kentucky Community and Technical College kicks off its season with a Pink-Out Celebration to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month October 23 at 7 p.m. in Haws Gym.The celebration begins at 5 p.m. with a tailgate party. The fun is free and open to the public.
WKCTC's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Student Life Committee are working together to host the tailgate party prior to the Pink Out home game. Game goers can enjoy free food and yard games. Students who attend the tailgate party prior to the game can enter a drawing for a $100 gas card. The drawing will be held at the end of the game and students must be present to win.
A special free-throw shooting contest for first-fifth graders will take place at halftime.
The game begins at 7 p.m. in Haws Gym when the Stars take on Lindsey Wilson College. As part of the Pink-Out event, game tickets are $5. Children under ten get in free. Anyone wearing pink at the game will get a free bag of popcorn.
