WKCTC Ribbon Cutting for New Student Lounge and Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-off

MEDIA RELEASE: Paducah, KY (09/18/2017) — Over 150 students, faculty and staff at West Kentucky Community and Technical College gathered today to be a part of the open house and ribbon cutting of the new Student Government Association and International Student Lounge and to celebrate the college's Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-off.

As part of WKCTC's vision for a culture of excellence, WKCTC President Anton Reece said the new lounge is a way for the students to feel connected and engaged outside the classroom. "I hope that as we do the ribbon cutting, to not let this just be a symbolic moment, but certainly from today forward that you (students) will get involved in our clubs and organizations."

After Student Government Association President Gavin Posey thanked everyone in the audience for attending the open house and kick-off, he said the "SGA office door is always open for all students to voice their opinion, hang out, relax, and contribute to the college's success."
