WKCTC's Education Express Coming to Mayfield and Fulton

April 12 and April 13

Paducah, KY (04/04/2017) — Faculty, staff and students from West Kentucky Community & Technical College will visit the cities of Mayfield and Fulton as part of the college's new Education Express: Connecting Communities Tour.

"Our first stops in Metropolis, Illinois and in Bardwell were wonderful opportunities to meet people in the communities we serve. The WKCTC Education Express is centered on celebrating postsecondary education and workforce training opportunities," said Dr. Anton Reece, WKCTC president.

As a regional institution, the college is committed to providing access to postsecondary education and workforce training where ever and however it can, Dr. Reece said. The Education Express is one way the college hopes to connect more with the communities in the region. "Therefore, I am personally inviting Mayfield/Graves County and Fulton city educators, business, community, and religious leaders to come out and meet our team." Dr. Reece said. WKCTC personnel were at Mayfield High School March 27 and will be at Fulton High School May 1 to talk to students about college offerings.

The college will also host a meet and greet reception at the West Kentucky Rural Electric Community Room in Mayfield, Wednesday April 12 and one at the Ponotoc Center at 112 East State Line in Fulton, Thursday, April 13. Both receptions will be from 4-6 p.m.
