WKCTC Students To Receive Nursing Pins at 2015 Pinning Ceremony.

Forty-two WKCTC nursing students will receive nursing pins representing completion of the Associate Degree in Nursing Program. The ceremony begins at 5 p.m. December 15 at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center.

Jennifer Haines of Eddyville Named WKCTC Student of the Year

Selection of the WKCTC Student of the Year is based on continuous academic performance, active participation in various student organizational activities and community service, while exhibiting a positive and encouraging attitude. Students had to maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.7 or higher and must have held and been successful in a significant leadership role on campus or within the community.

Four West Kentucky Community and Technical College students were among more than 1,800 of America's best and brightest college students who recently traveled to the historic city of Nashville to make some history of their own as they showcased their talents as future business leaders and vied for the opportunity to win over $79,000 in cash awards.

WKCTC Welcomes New Graduates into Nursing Profession

More than 45 West Kentucky Community and Technical College registered nursing graduates and 34 practical nursing graduates received nursing pins during a special ceremony in May. The nurse pinning ceremony is a symbolic welcoming of newly graduated nurses into the nursing profession. WKCTC nursing faculty presented each new nurse with the unique pin. Graduates eligible for pins are listed below.
