Paducah, KY (03/14/2018) — Shirley Trail Lanier recently established a new annual scholarship account with Paducah Junior College, Inc., the foundation of West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC). The Shirley Trail Lanier Scholarship, in memory of Leroy & Gladys Followell Trail, will provide scholarships for students in the cosmetology program. The first scholarship from this newly established fund will be awarded in the fall 2018 semester.

"We are grateful to Ms. Lanier for choosing to establish this important scholarship for cosmetology students, which demonstrates her commitment to education while providing a wonderful tribute to her parents. Students who may not otherwise pursue educational opportunities are encouraged to do so when tangible assistance is available," said Lee Emmons, WKCTC vice president of Advancement and Foundation Executive Director.

For more information about WKCTC scholarships and giving opportunities, contact Lee Emmons at lee.emmons@kctcs.edu or (270) 534-3084.
