WKCTC Honors Student Excellence at 2025 Student Achievement Awards

Paducah, KY (04/16/2025) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College students were recognized last week for their participation in campus organizations during the 2025 Student Achievement Awards, an evening dedicated to celebrating excellence in academics, leadership and service.

This year for the first time, the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Induction Ceremony and the Student Leadership Awards were combined into a single celebration. Students were honored for their service to eight student organizations on campus.

PTK, an international honor society for community college students, inducted more than 40 new members during the event. Membership eligibility includes enrollment in a degree-seeking program, completion of at least 12 credit hours, and a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

"Each of the students being inducted this evening has demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, leadership and service," said PTK advisor Crystal Jackson.

The following student organizations were recognized during the evening: Pathfinders, Alpha Epsilon Beta (Justice Club), Early Childhood Educators, Future Educators, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate, Basketball, Student Art and Design Club, and the Student Government Association (SGA).

Samantha Murray - Wise Mentor Award, Student Pathfinders

Josh Morris - Hype Coach Award, Student Pathfinders

Patrick Sanders, Joshua Morris, Raymond Green, Niki Ellingsworth and Joshua "Day" Gore - Outstanding Leadership Award, Alpha Epsilon Beta

Maisie Harris - Outstanding Leadership Award, Future Educators

Bryce Davenport - Best All Around Award, Future Educators

Allison Batha - Academic Excellence Award, Future Educators

Corvina Thomas - Perseverance Award, Future Educators

Chloe Streetman - 2025 Team Inspiration Award, Early Childhood Educators

Hope Osborne - 2025 Artistic Visionary Award, Early Childhood Educators

Savannah Beckwith - 2025 Organizational Motivator Award, Early Childhood Educators
