Ballet Classic at WKCTC's Clemens Fine Arts Center April 22

Moscow Festival Ballet Presents The Sleeping Beauty

Paducah, KY (04/12/2018) — The timeless fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty, possibly made most famous by Disney's 1959 animated film, will come to life through ballet on West Kentucky Community and Technical College's Clemens Fine Arts Center stage Sunday, April 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Moscow Festival Ballet's The Sleeping Beauty, scored with the majestic music of Tchaikovsky, lends itself perfectly to the company's interpretation of Charles Perrault's ageless story involving a beautiful princess, a sleeping enchantment and a handsome prince.

Considered a masterpiece of classical ballet, Moscow Festival Ballet's rendition of the classic tale has mesmerized audiences from around the world through expressive and powerful dance, spectacular technical skill and lavish theatrical staging in the tradition of Russian Bolshoi and Mariinsky theatres.

The company has toured extensively throughout the world and continues to expand its repertoire, specializing in Twentieth Century full-length ballets such as Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, Legend of Love, Stone Flower and The Golden Age.

Get tickets now at artsinfocus.org or by calling the box office at 270-534-3212 to reserve your seats for the closing performance of WKCTC's 2017-18 Arts in Focus Season. ###
