Paducah, KY (10/20/2019) — On October 19, nearly 300 WKCTC students, faculty, staff and community members came out to support the American Heart Association at the 2019 Western Kentucky Heart Walk on the campus of West Kentucky Community and Technical College. The walkers joined together to fight against heart disease and stroke, and to encourage a healthy lifestyle. Everyone lined up - lead by heart disease and stroke survivors - and counted down from 10 to begin the walk through WKCTC's new arch, which was created by the college's welding technology and automotive technology faculty and students. "WKCTC was honored to host the annual Heart Walk. Heart disease does not discriminate and this event raises the importance and benefits of healthy living, "said WKCTC President and 2019 Western Kentucky Heart Walk Chair Anton Reece.
