Tickets on Sale Now for WKCTC's Clemens Fine Arts Center Backstage Pass Series

Season Pass Available

MEDIA RELEASE: Paducah, KY (10/12/2017) — TIckets are on sale now for West Kentucky Community and Technical College's 2017-18 Clemens Fine Arts Center Backstage Pass series. This year's series features three concerts with local and regional artists who have played various local venues and have been featured on WKMS, Murray State University's National Public Radio station.

In the Backstage Pass series, audience members sit onstage with the musicians in a listening-room, intimate concert setting and enjoy coffee and desserts as they get an up-close view of the concert. All Backstage Pass concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Buy advance tickets for $8 or $10 at the door. Purchase a season pass and get all three concerts for $15.

The series kicks off Saturday, November 18 when Shannon Vetter returns to the Clemens Center stage. Vetter is a musician, songwriter and entertainer with many musical connections in Paducah. Vetter plays with several bands, including two groups that have won WKMS Battle of the Bands titles - Gideon's Rifle (2014) and Big Atomic (2015). He also plays for the Solid Rock 'it Boosters and his new group the Sleepless Pilgrims. His first solo album, "Rapid Cycle," was released in 2016.

Old Salt Union returns to Paducah Saturday, March 3. Old Salt Union is a string band founded by a horticulturist, cultivated by classically trained musicians, and fueled by a vocalist/bass player who is also a hip-hop producer with a fondness for the Four Freshmen. The band is this collision of styles and musical vocabularies that informs their fresh approach to bluegrass and gives them an electric live performance vibe that seems to pull more from Vaudeville than the front porch.

The Backstage Pass series will wrap up on March 31 when Coopertheband visits again from Nashville. Coopertheband (all one word) is a bramily (band/friends/family) composed of six massive music nerds (Cooper, Phoebe, Trish, Joe, Matt and Will) with minds to rhyme and twelve hot feet. Centered in Jackson, TN, the band has found success nationally, featured on networks like HBO, ESPN and TruTV, as well as the hit show "Without a Trace." Coopertheband is also hugely plugged into the local music scene and often finds itself on podcasts, regional television shows and the occasional old-fashioned newspaper article.

To purchase tickets or a season pass and to stay up to date on all Clemens Fine Arts Center events, visit artsinfocus.org or call the box office at 270-534-3212.
