WKCTC's Education Express Coming to Hickman County March 8

Paducah, KY (02/28/2018) — Faculty, staff and students from West Kentucky Community and Technical College will visit Hickman County March 8 as part of the college's Education Express: Connecting Communities Tour.

The WKCTC Regional Education Express, which began in February 2017, continues in 2018 and is a way to reach out to the college's river counties to have a more personal approach to connecting with area communities, including students and their families, said WKCTC President Anton Reece.

"The initial success of the first leg of our tour is meeting education, community and business leaders one-on-one and in groups to discuss meeting their education and economic needs," said Dr. Reece. "Increased education attainment levels and skills of our workforce throughout the region are vital to positioning and showcasing the unique resources and contributions of the western region of the state and southern Illinois."

Dr. Reece extends an invitation to the city educators, business, community and religious leaders, as well as students and their families in Hickman County to attend the Education Express in their community.

The college will host a meet and greet reception at the Hickman County Extension Office, Thursday, March 8 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at 329 James H. Phillips Drive in Clinton.
