WKCTC Study Abroad Trip to Japan

Open to Community, Sign Up Early

Paducah, KY (09/04/2019) — It's time to sign up for West Kentucky Community and Technical College's study abroad adventure. Sign up now to travel to Japan from May 16-29, 2020.

The trip, which is open to WKCTC students, faculty, staff and the community, will provide travelers with 12 days to explore Osaka, Hiroshima, Tokyo, and Kyoto.

Few countries blend ancient customs with modern-day innovations as seamlessly as Japan. On this educational journey, participants will visit the Japanese Alps and step inside shrines built by emperors in Kyoto. They will be able to savor Japanese perfected dishes of ramen and sushi and revel in guided meditation, geisha sightings, and a sake tasting. As part of the experience, visitors will also get an astounding look at the horizon in Tokyo, where skyscrapers and iconic Mount Fuji anchor the skyline, and much more.

"It's important that individuals sign up early. The sooner they do, it locks in the best pricing they can get to learn about the culture of this amazing country," said Pat Blaine, WKCTC study abroad trip coordinator and education program coordinator. "We invite community members to come with us to witness the many wonderful sites the Land of the Rising Sun has to offer. "

Trip information and early registration can be found at grouptoursite.com/patriciablaine or by calling 800-590-1161. Trip payment plans are available for travelers.
