Annual Paducah School of Art & Design Exhibition opens May 1
Paducah, KY (04/28/2025) — Work from students of the Paducah School of Art and Design will be featured in the annual PSAD Student Art Exhibition May 1-8, with an opening awards reception on May 1.
Students will be displaying artwork created within the 2024-25 academic year in the areas of ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, jewelry/metals, audio/video, graphic design, print production and digital art. Merit Awards will be given in the respective categories along with a President's Choice Purchase Award in which the chosen work will be on permanent display on the WKCTC campus and Juror's Choice Award. This year's juror is Professor Jim Bryant, graphic design instructor at Murray State University.
As a subset to this exhibition, the Spring 2025 Survival Skills class is featuring six students: Gracie Bourff, Gabrielle Cornwell, Leslie Horman, Lonnie Peck, Cynthia Steger and Jennifer Turner, who, as part of the class requirements, are framing, hanging and exhibiting their own work created during their tenure at PSAD.
In addition to the opening reception, Autumn Johnson's solo exhibition, "Flora", will be on view in the upstairs PJC Gallery. The artist will be in attendance with prints for sale.
The Student Art Exhibit will be exhibited in the Bill Ford Gallery 905 Harrison Street, Paducah. Gallery Hours are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
