Viewing Party Set at WKCTC for the announcement of $1 Million Aspen Institute Prize for Community College Excellence

Paducah, KY (03/09/2017) — A viewing party for the live webcast of the 2017 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence will be held:

WHEN: March 14, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (CDT)
WHERE: West Kentucky Community and Technical College, Crounse Hall, Room 101
EVENT SPONSOR: Community Financial Services Bank (CFSB)

LIVE WEBCAST:  

The event will be broadcast live at as.pn/prize starting at 11:10 a.m. CDT.
WKCTC will also be broadcasting its viewing party live via Facebook.

On March 14th, The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program will award the 2017 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s preeminent recognition of high achievement and improvement in America’s community colleges. West Kentucky Community and Technical College is one of 10 top finalist community colleges selected from an original pool of more than 1,100 institutions nationwide to compete for $1 million in prize funds. The Prize, awarded every two years, recognizes outstanding institutions with a singular focus on student success. 

WKCTC has been recognized as an Aspen Prize Top 10 Community College each of the four times the Prize has been awarded and has twice been named a Finalist with Distinction for providing students with strong job training and continuing higher education opportunity, for achieving high completion and transfer rates, and for providing strong employment results for its graduates.
