Regional Business and Industry Partners Luncheon at WKCTC May 15

Kentucky Labor Cabinet's Department of Workforce Standards Commissioner Ervin Dimeny to be Keynote Speaker

Paducah, KY (05/08/2018) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College's Workforce Solutions will host an Annual Regional Business and Industry Partners Luncheon Tuesday, May 15 at 11:30 a.m. in the college's Emerging Technology Center. Commissioner Ervin Dimeny from the Kentucky Labor Cabinet's Department of Workplace Standards will be the keynote speaker. His presentation begins at noon.

The commissioner holds primary responsibility of enforcing Kentucky's occupational safety and health laws, wage and hour laws, child labor laws, and administering the state's registered apprenticeship programs. During his presentation at WKCTC, he will discuss the benefits of registered apprenticeships to employers, apprentices and workforce development. A question and answer session to follow. The event will conclude at 1:00 pm.
