West Kentucky Community and Technical College Extends Hours for Fall 2024 Enrollment Assistance

Paducah, KY (08/05/2024) — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PADUCAH, KY - To ensure all students have ample opportunity to prepare for the upcoming fall semester, West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) will extend its office hours from August 12 to August 16, 2024.

During this period, WKCTC admissions, advising, financial aid and business offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. All offices are located in the Anderson Technical Building (ATB), and walk-ins are welcome. These extended hours are designed to provide additional support for new and returning students as they complete the enrollment process for the fall 2024 semester, which begins on August 19, 2024.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet with college representatives, finalize their schedules and address any outstanding questions or concerns. "We understand that many students have busy schedules, and we want to make it as convenient as possible for them to prepare for the upcoming semester," said Mark Smith, WKCTC financial aid director. "These extended hours are part of our commitment to student success."

WKCTC offers more than 200 different credentials, including degrees, diplomas and certificates in various career and academic programs that can help students enter directly into the workforce or transfer to a four-year university. Evening and online class options are also available.

Financial aid and scholarships are available to those who qualify. Students should begin by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. Additionally, WKCTC is proud to offer two scholarships: the WKCTC Adult Promise for new students who are 25 years old or older, and the MacKenzie Scott Opportunities Scholarship (S.O.S.) for new students who are 24 years old and under.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 270-534-3435. The Go KCTCS (Kentucky Community and Technical College System) Student Center is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and can be reached at 1-855-469-5282 for any questions outside regular business hours.

WKCTC is dedicated to providing quality education and support to all its students. We look forward to assisting students on their educational journey.
