West Kentucky Community and Technical College Fall 2024 Enrollment Information
Paducah, KY (08/16/2024) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) is pleased to share updates regarding our enrollment for the Fall 2024 semester. As part of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS), WKCTC prioritizes flexibility, affordability, and student support, ensuring that we meet the diverse needs of all students, including non-traditional learners.
Due to the unique structure of our academic offerings, including our commitment to flexible course schedules, WKCTC's final enrollment numbers are reported on November 1, 2024. This timeline allows us to account for our robust lineup of online classes and various start dates, including:
August 19, 2024 - Full semester and 16-week classes begin
September 16, 2024 - 12-week classes begin
October 14, 2024 - 8-week classes begin
Additionally, we offer workforce training throughout the year to meet the needs of regional businesses.
These dates reflect our ongoing commitment to providing multiple entry points throughout the semester, accommodating students' schedules and life circumstances.
We understand the importance of accurate reporting and are committed to transparency. We are happy to share that as classes are set to begin next week, our current enrollment figures for the first cycle of classes for fall semester are 3857 as of today. This is up 8.74% from last year. Although again, we want to emphasize that our official and final enrollment data will be available on November 1, 2024. This reporting date is consistent across all institutions within the KCTCS system, aligning with our mission to provide education that fits the needs of our students.
