West Kentucky Robo Challenge Xtreme (RCX) Regional Tournament: Winners Set to Advance to State Tournament
Paducah, KY (03/12/2025) — The West Kentucky Robo Challenge Xtreme (RCX) Regional Tournament held on campus last weekend with winners in the elementary, middle, and high school divisions now set to advance to the state tournament. The competition, which took place Saturday March 8, featured 33 teams from across the region, all participating in a thrilling robotics challenge with the theme "Mission Horizon: Headed to the Moon."
The following teams have earned their spots at the state tournament:
Elementary School Division:
Champions: Robo Raiders, Cedars of Lebanon Christian Academy
Runner-Up: Carlisle Comets, Carlisle County Elementary School
Third Place: Fulton Pilots, Fulton County Elementary School
Middle School Division:
Champions: Calloway MS #2, Calloway County Middle School
Runner-Up: HES Blazers, University Heights Academy
Third Place: Code Crafters, University Heights Academy
Fourth Place: The Rovers, Murray Middle School
Fifth Place: Lyons Robotics, Lyon County Middle School
Sixth Place: Error 404, University Heights Academy
High School Division:
Champions: Robo Legends, Cedars of Lebanon Christian Academy
Runner-Up: DSO Bots, University Heights Academy
Third Place: The Rockin' Robots, University Heights Academy
These teams have demonstrated exceptional skill in problem-solving, programming, and teamwork throughout the competition. They will now compete at the state level for the opportunity to advance further in the robotics competition.
