WKCTC Celebrate Black History Month With Movie at Maiden Alley Cinema

Paducah, KY (02/21/2018) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College's Diversity and Inclusion Office sponsored the movie, Hidden Figures, in partnership with Maiden Alley Cinema Thursday, February 15, 2018. A reception was held in the cinema lobby before the movie started. After the movie Allene Huston Jones, principal at Paducah Middle School, and Dr. Latoya Jones, a biology professor at WKCTC, were introduced to the audience as positive role models for promoting education in the community for underrepresented minority students. More than 120 community members attended the event, including students from community elementary, middle and high schools.
