WKCTC president presenting about college's DEI framework at SACAD in December

Paducah, KY (10/19/2022) — West Kentucky Community and Technical College President Anton Reece will be the featured speaker at the Southern Association of Colleges with Associate Degrees (SACAD) annual membership luncheon in December. He will be discussing the college's diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices and implementation.

During the December 4th luncheon in Atlanta, Reece will share about the seven-sector framework of the WKCTC Guarantee, implemented with funding through a $15 million donation from philanthropist and author MacKenzie Scott through the National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) in December 2020. Dr. Reece will also discuss the collaboration with groups such as the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce and non-profit organizations to boost DEI at the college as part of his Guarantee framework.

In his presentation titled, "A Three Prong Approach to DEI in the Post-Pandemic Era," Dr. Reece will describe the efforts of WKCTC in addressing DEI as it relates to maintaining student access, ensuring student success, and supporting economic development and growth.

"It's an honor to be invited as a keynote speaker on the national stage, and an opportunity to share WKCTC's commitment to equity through excellence," said Reece.
